《中華人民共和國電力行業(yè)標準(DL/T5102－1999):土工離心模型試驗規(guī)程(英文版)》內容簡介：This Standard is compiled according to the arrangement of Notice onPrinting the Development and Revision Plan of Professional Standards（Document No. 28, 1998） issued by the former Ministry of ElectricPower.

Geotechnical centrifugal model test is a new technology. It canvisually and correctly reveal the engineering characters of the soils,provide the basis for the design and construction, and verify the servicecondition of the structures. It is also be used as a method forfundamental research. This technology has been widely applied inmany countries.Since 1980s, lots of academic institutes anduniversities in China have established their own centrifuge modelinglaboratories which have provided valuable data for design andconstruction of many key projects. In addition, important researchresults have been achieved with respect to fundamental research.

Centrifugal model test is complicated in the aspects ofequipment, measuring instrument, model preparation, data and videoacquisition, etc.. Nevertheless, it is vital to ensure the safety of testand to avoid accidents. It is necessary to develop operation procedureand requirement in order to ensure the reliability of the test data andsafety operation of equipment and instrument. So this Standard isformulated.
